I have thousands of pictures of my puppies so I believe Capone Simpson needs a proper introduction. At a whopping 11.3 pounds, Capone is a two and half year old Morkie who lives up to his name. He is a liter mate of Chubbs and is the pack leader of all three pups. He is extremely serious and has become the protector of his little family. Occasionally, he goes by Dr. Capone because he seems to be the comforter and cleaner of Chubbs when things aren't going his way. His hobbies are sleeping, playing with Chubbs, licking, and cuddling! Sorry ladies, he is in a committed relationship with a lovely young Shih tzu named Gidget. We know he has major lady skills but when he gets that look and you know he is saying, "Hey dollface! Wanna come over hear so I can get your number, sweet thang," in his mobster voice, its all over. Hope you can see his gangster charm!

You will be seeing a lot of the Wagner family! I have a feeling this will be the family I will be able to capture some of the most important moments and watch them grow. They have been so supportive of my work and flexible with my schedule (THANK YOU Tamara and Garrett, it means so much to me). I think Knox is beginning to enjoy having his picture taken and hearing my camera snapping away. Such a BEAUTIFUL family.

Meet Henry, Sunny, Hope, Hank, Walt, Tiger, Joy, Grace, Faith, and Glory. These beautiful faces are not only our mentors but some of our greatest friends. They continue to pour wisdom and hope into our lives and teach us about marriage, parenting, and faith. They are the most AMAZING family, I can promise that. Their children crack me up, especially the older two, Hope and Hank. Just this past week, my hubby and I went to the house and Henry and Hank had convinced me that their HUGE bean bag that fits all their children, was a boy scout project Hank had completed! Hank isn't even in boy scouts! My favorite memory is when I experienced life at their dinner table. They have a tradition that when a kiddo is done eating, they can stand on their chair and either sing a song, tell a story, or act out a play. The FUNNIEST thing you will ever see, especially the youngest, Glory. They are always putting on skits for us and singing till they fall asleep. My cheeks are starting to hurt from smiling as I type.

We had talked about doing indoor family photos for a while and my wheels were turning, knowing I needed some professional lighting. Ian Collins, of IGC Photography, let me use his lighting and did a little workshop the night before with me (he also did the photography for a Wedding Shower I hosted). I am so thankful to the Thomas' for letting me play around with new equipment and making me smile the whole time. Prepare to laugh!

Rooda

Presenting our new addition, Willy/Rooda. He is a purebred Weimaraner that we received from my parents after they realized that the sweet puppy they had purchased would not stay anywhere near the size that he was or be calm. He wears many hats such as our garbage man, landscaper (we now have little to no trees, yes trees, surrounding our yard), body guard, cardio instructor, and babysitter (for our small pups, Chubbs and Capone). He specializes in licking, toy chewing, running, jumping, smelling (not sniffing), and holding water in his mouth until he licks you. It's hard to resist his sweet face but he is definitely our problem child. He is the star student in his training class but seems to forget everything he learns once he walks through our front door. These pictures say it all!

Meet Henna. She is absolutely stunning and has a contagious laugh. I could go on for hours about our fun filled nights and random encounters. It never failed that she would end up doing my hair or makeup and dress me from head to toe before going out. She loves fashion and can style anyone! She has a hidden talent and I can't wait to see what happens for her over the next year.

Nicole is a sweet friend I meet through Kairos. She has such a huge love for animals and rescued Jada years ago. Poor puppy has become sick and Nicole asked me to capture a few moments. She is a beautiful dog who loves her owner!

Meet Joshua

My sweet hubby and one of our three children. Love this man in ways I thought I never could. One of the dogs can cough and he will awake as if there is an earthquake but I can hover over him with a camera clicking away and he snores like a baby!

A few facts about the man of my dreams:

Born and raised Gastonia, North Carolina.
Loves anything sports related but especially DUKE basketball and the CAROLINA Panthers.
On top of being a sports fan, he has a knowledge soccer beyond anyone I've ever met.
Has a heavy southern drawl and loves to rap Lil' Wayne lyrics in his heavy southern drawl.
Sings to our children (3 pups) and if I'm lucky, he butt dials me while doing so.
Doesn't like sweets but can down a gallon of sweet tea in one sitting.
My biggest fan.
One of the best TN United soccer coaches.
Believes he and his best friend, Reid (mentioned in previous post), can crunk and "battle". Hannah and I have yet to see any of this talent.
Already named our unborn children after professional soccer players.
Works with special needs children daily and does an AMAZING job!

Hannah and Reid have an amazing story of building a relationship through distance and taking the leap of faith and moving hours from family to plan a future for themselves. I was so excited when we discussed taking their photos and how much confidence they had in my new love of photography. I'm sure you'll agree, they are a BEAUTIFUL couple.

Jonny and Libby are two of the most AMAZING people on earth and have been so fun to hang out with over the past year. It never fails to surprise me when people come together in seasons of life for a specific reason and Libby has been one of those people for me. Jonny is so musically talented and puts me to shame with his business savvy mind. Last but not least, those fluffy ears, big brown eyes, and teddy bear looks is sweet Bodie. He is their only child and couldn't be a better fit! Such a good looking family!

Jason and Chelsea, mentioned in the previous post, needed a Save the Date and I had this crazy idea of huge letters, red spray paint, and a tree. Without a visual, they both jumped on board, waited through rain, and walked around muddy ground but we loved the turn out! Talented graphic designer Trish Dubes, of Frilly Milly Events, helped edit the invite and did a beautiful job!

Jason and Chelsea have been a part of my life for a little over a year now and I can honestly say, I've never been so blessed by two individuals. Jason had such an impact on my husband and provided so many opportunities of leadership and love. Chelsea and I were introduced because we are nannies and became the best of friends within the following weeks. They have a love that few people see and I was honored to stand up with them during their wedding day! Love you guys and I am so grateful for your support!

I am so excited to post these pictures for the sole reason that this was my first experience using my camera. The moments these photos capture make me giddy only because I remember my reaction behind the camera and my husband saying, "OH LOOK, that one...and that one...wait there, there, there!"
